First Annual Holiday Season Tree Lighting Ceremony at ilani

Join the festivities as we welcome the merriest time of the year with the official lighting of ilani’s own 40 foot holiday tree!

Ridgefield, WA. (November 15, 2017) – It’s the most wonderful time of the year as the holiday season is set to kick off underneath the ilani tree! Join friends and family at ilani on November 22nd from 5:00pm-7:00pm to deck the halls, light the tree and support our community! Live carolers, hot drinks, and more will be present!

Tree Lighting
The general reception kicks off at 5:00pm just outside our Valet Entrance. Welcoming words will kick off the ceremony given by the Cowlitz Tribal Chairman, Bill Iyall, followed by remarks from the leader of the non-profit Santa’s Posse, Sergeant Kevin Allais, of Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Kara Fox-LaRose, President and General Manager at ilani, invites everyone to experience ilani this holiday season. “We are so excited to bring together the community to mark ilani’s very first official holiday season.  We are looking forward to inviting our community to ilani to join us in celebrating the season and encourage all to stop by to see our breathtaking 40-foot tree along with our festive décor inside.” Following the opening speeches, all are invited to witness the large 40-foot tree’s lights turn on for the holidays!

Holiday Treats
Visit the VIP Photobooth in front of the Main Entrance to take holiday pictures, printed right on site, before you go rockin’ around the holiday tree! Once you arrive at the ceremony, don’t be afraid to chime in with the Dickens Carolers at the tree singing classic tunes such as “Frosty the Snowman,” “Let it Snow,” and more. Service stations will be providing hot cider, hot cocoa, and hot coffee for those who need that little extra something to get them in the Christmas spirit

“For 20 years Santa’s Posse has been providing help to underprivileged families within Clark County during the holiday season.  This year Santa’s Posse is excited to be partnering with ilani.  What started with the delivery of food, gifts and personal care items to 43 families has now expanded to 1000 families.  This holiday season Santa’s Posse is set to provide these items and more to over 3400 local children.  The Clark County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with citizens and businesses in our local area, deliver the gifts and food in an effort to increase positive interactions between law enforcement officers and families,” says Kevin Allais of Santa’s Posse. Santa’s Posse bins will be on location where guests
will be able to provide generous donations for families in need.”
