ilani hosts Battle of the Bands this July

iHeart radio and ilani put local bands head-to-head for $5,000 cash and a headlining show in Muze Lounge

RIDGEFIELD, WA. (July 8, 2022) – The competition is guaranteed to be fierce this July when ilani and iHeart team up to find the area’s best entertainment. Four top bands have been selected from a large pool of submissions, and now these four groups will face off during Battle of the Bands held Fridays, July 15, 22 and 29, on the parking garage rooftop at ilani. The winning band will receive $5,000 cash and the opportunity to play a show inside ilani’s award-winning Muze Lounge. Each Friday, guests are invited to enjoy the free show on the rooftop, where ilani will offer food and drink for purchase and favorite parking lot games.

The Competition

The first Battle of the Bands will take place Friday, July 15, at 6 p.m. Two bands will perform for a panel of three judges. One band will be selected to move on to weekend number two, while the other band will be eliminated.

On Friday, July 22, two more bands will compete with the hopes of moving forward to the grand finale which will take place on Friday, July 29. During the grand finale, the winner of weekend one and the winner of weekend two will duel it out for the title of Battle of the Bands Champions 2022.

The Grand Prize

Each band selected for the competition will receive a $500 prize. However, only one band will earn the ultimate Battle of the Bands Grand Prize: $5,000 cash and the opportunity to perform at ilani’s Muze Lounge, awarded at the finale competition.

Muze Lounge has hosted national favorites such as Tony Orlando, Wilson Phillips and Russell Dickerson. The winning band will be added to ilani’s entertainment calendar to perform on the award-winning stage for the first, and hopefully not the last, time.
