Celebrity chefs, regional favorites plus Spin Doctors June 24–26

The barbecue-centric weekend will kick off early on Friday, June 24, with a free Spin Doctors show inside Muze Lounge, setting the scene for what is sure to be an unforgettable weekend.
Whether guests plan to attend just the Grand Tasting sessions or are going all in and joining the Party with the Pitmasters, there will be no lack of skilled chefs on hand. From household names like Todd English, Alton Brown, Robert Irvine and Kevin Bludso to renowned favorites such as Lynnae Oxley, David Rose, Rasheed Philips and more, the weekend is sure to be smokin’ hot. Spin Doctors at Muze Lounge
On Friday, June 24, the free Spin Doctors show begins at 8 p.m. inside Muze Lounge. Fans can rock out to some of the band’s greatest hits including “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and “Two Princes” in ilani’s most intimate venue to experience a show like no other. Thirty years. A thousand twists. But whatever happens down the road, the Spin Doctors will always be the last men standing, still making music like their lives depend on it, still riding the bus, still shaking the room. BBQ Fest Chef Lineup
All are invited to come for the food but stay for the personalities. The ilani BBQ Fest has called in the best of the culinary best to deliver a weekend full of flames and flavor. Previously announced headliners Brown, Irvine, English and Bludso will be joined by Food Network regular Chef Aaron May, Food Network’s “Master of ‘Cue” champion Erica Blaire Roby and “American Barbecue Showdown” contestant Georgia Chasen. Celebrity chef and TV personality David Rose will showcase his culinary training alongside Seattle, Washington, native Misty Banchero and Netflix’s “American Barbeque Showdown” breakout star Rasheed Philips.
Also on the roster for the weekend is the talented Stan Hays, CEO and co-founder of Operation BBQ Relief, one of the partners of ilani BBQ Fest. Hays will be leading a four-hour cooking and preparation course aptly named BBQ Basics on Sunday, June 26. The event will include first responders from local police and fire districts and will culminate in an action-packed competition with two $1,000 prizes up for grabs including $1,000 for the People’s Choice BBQ Basics Champion and $1,000 for the Celebrity Chef BBQ Basics Champion.
Tickets for all BBQ Fest events are still on sale and can be purchased via ilanibbqfest.com. Tickets for the Saturday and Sunday sessions on the ilani parking garage rooftop are $45 and $40 for guests 21 years of age or older. Guests under 21 and designated drivers can purchase tickets for $10, while children under the age of 5 are free. All ticket purchasers over 21 years of age will receive 24 drink samples, $10 in food tokens and $10 in Promo Play.
Tickets to Party with the Pitmasters, co-hosted by May and English in ilani’s Meeting & Entertainment Center, start at $85 per person and include $10 in Promo Play. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
